Building artificial nails

There different techniques to choose from, choosing the most suitable one depends on the preference of the client and the type and length of the nails as well. If the goal is strengthening the real nails acryl or gel are recommended. With this method nails won’t chip off and they will grow together with the natural nails without looking artificial.

I work with gel most of the time because it’s more flexible and more durable than acryl but of course I use acryl for the preference of the client.

Gel
After the acryl, gel has revolutionized the nail technician profession and now it’s more widespread and popular than acryl. This one-component, originally soft gel-like system is set under UV light.

Acryl
This was the first two-component system on the market. It consists of liquid and acryl powder, it sets under UV light or air. Extremely hard system.

We can use both systems in case of tips or structured techniques.

Techniques

Tips and Structured Nails
In both cases I start with preparing the natural nails of the client...

Tips
Glued tips give the length of the nail (if preferred) and then I apply the chosen system.

Structured nails
I put a stencil under the edge of the natural nail and then I trim the length and I apply the chosen system.

After that I make the surface smooth and – if preferred - polish and decorate the nails.

Artificial nails need constant care; it is advisable to fill the nails every 3 weeks. I only work with high quality systems which is a plus guarantee for client satisfaction.

According to the latest fashion French polish is very popular. I make this type either with gel or acryl with pleasure. This method is much more durable and natural then polished nails. Besides, I use colourful gels and acryl chipped shells, studs and shiny dust for decoration. Stamping Nail Art is also very popular (see photos).
